HappiSwitch

How HappiSwitch Works

A streamlined design process so you get beautiful photobooth prints on time, every time.

We know you're busy. That's why we've designed a process that's efficient, collaborative, and transparent. Here's exactly what to expect from the moment you book with HappiSwitch.

1 Intake & Brief

Collecting what we need to design right the first time

We start with a quick intake form. It's not busywork—we're asking specific questions so we understand your vision, your brand, and your constraints. The more detail here, the better the design.

What we'll ask:

  • Event details: Name, date, vibe, expected crowd
  • Your vision in 3–5 words: E.g., "fun, candid, colourful" or "professional, branded, minimalist"
  • Brand specs: Your logo, colours, text, any assets you're providing
  • Print format: Size, layout style, must-haves
  • Stakeholders: Who's approving the design? (Ideally 1 person—more on this below)

Our one-voice principle:

We work with one primary contact for all feedback. This keeps us efficient and prevents design-by-committee. You're welcome to get input from your team, but please consolidate it through one person before sending it to us. Everyone wins: we move faster, you stay coordinated, and the design stays coherent.

⏰ Timeline:

Please return your completed intake form within 3 business days. No design starts until we have it—this protects both of us and keeps us on track for your event.

2 Design Mockup

We create, you review

Based on your intake brief, we produce 1 digital mockup (PDF). This shows your final design as it'll appear in print: layout, colours, logos, text—everything.

What happens next:

  • You review the mockup (on your screen is fine)
  • You send us feedback within 5 business days
  • Keep feedback specific: "Move logo 2cm left" instead of "Doesn't feel right"

One revision round included:

We take all your feedback and produce 1 revised mockup within 3 business days. This version should reflect your input. You review it and give us final approval.

What "approval" means:

When you sign off, the design is locked. No further changes. Print file goes to the printer at those specs. This is important—see below for why.

3 The Color Reality Check

Because what you see on screen ≠ what you get in print

Your screen displays RGB (light-based colours). Our printer outputs CMYK (ink-based colours).

That bright teal on your monitor might print slightly more muted. Amber can shift warm or cool depending on paper stock. This is normal and expected—it's not a defect, it's how printing works.

Once we send your design to print, the printer will not "adjust the cyan a bit" or "make it brighter"—especially on budgets under SGD $1,000. Your approval is your responsibility.

How we protect you:

We recommend a test print sample (SGD $30 optional add-on):

  1. Once you approve the revised design, we produce a small A5 sample (5cm×7cm)
  2. You receive it in 2 days
  3. You review it under normal lighting (not your screen)
  4. You approve the colours or ask for 1 free adjustment
  5. Once approved: full print run is locked at those specs

Not doing a test print? That's your choice—but you're assuming colours may vary slightly from screen to print. Reprints for colour mismatch aren't included in the project scope.

Our commitment:

We'll include your brand colour references in the intake form. If you share Pantone specs or examples, we'll do our best to match them in both screen mockup and print. The test print is your final safety net to see it before we go big.

Our 5 Guiding Principles

What we promise in every project

1. One Voice

One primary contact, one feedback channel. We consolidate input with you, not through a committee.

2. Clear Revisions

1 revision round included. Beyond that = new scope and new fee. No surprise bills.

3. Locked Design

Approval = design locked for print. Changes after this point are an additional service.

4. Honest Timelines

If you miss a deadline, timeline adjusts. We keep it transparent so you're never caught off guard.

5. Color Clarity

Test print (optional) lets you see colours before full production. No surprises on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I want more than 1 revision? +

That's totally possible—but it's an additional design round. We charge SGD $150–300 per round depending on scope. It takes another 3 business days. We'll discuss it upfront so there's no surprise invoice.

What if I miss the intake deadline? +

We'll nudge you once. If we don't hear back, your event date might slip. We want to deliver on time, so we'll let you know immediately if the timeline is at risk. No hard feelings—life happens.

Do I have to do the test print? +

Nope, it's optional. But we really recommend it if colours are important to your brand (especially for nonprofits, corporates, or anything where consistency matters). SGD $30 and 2 days is cheap insurance against reprints.

Can you match my exact brand colour? +

If you have a Pantone spec, we'll aim for it. But CMYK printing is never pixel-perfect to RGB screens. The test print is your best tool to see how close we are. Some colour shifts are normal.

What if the printer messes up? +

We use reliable, vetted printers. If something truly goes wrong (missing quantity, visible defect, etc.), we handle the reprint with the printer—it's on us. But we're talking actual defects, not "colours looked different than expected."

Can you do a rush job? +

Depends on timing. If you're 1–2 weeks out, we can compress timelines (feedback deadline becomes 3 days, revisions within 2 days). Rush printing adds SGD $200–400. Chat with us about your date—we'll see what's possible.

What if I change my mind about something after approval? +

That's a change order. We'll provide a quote for the design revision and new print run. It depends on what changed and how close your event is. Honesty: this usually costs more than getting it right the first time.

Can multiple people give feedback? +

Of course! But please have one person consolidate input and send it to us. E.g., your marketing lead gathers feedback from the team, then sends one email with all comments. Keeps us efficient and prevents conflicting direction.
